Observed Miss Evelyn taught "The Curse: Characters and Characterization" earlier.
She's one dedicated teacher who put in so much effort in preparing her lesson plan.
The students participated for all the 2 exercises and the group work. It's motivating to see them co-operate to draw out the faces of the characters.
Hope they will continue to this engaged in her lesson.
Well done, Miss Evelyn!

Cikgu Ganas
26 April 2012 marks the first day I gave 4 boys demerit marks,
with a heavy heart.
Will they behaved after being canned?

I love my job.
I love my job.
It's challenging. My cravings for shoulder massage increased.
I lost my voice few times, and learnt never to raise my voice anymore, but to use the soft approach. The naughty ones do become less hyper when we place our hands on their shoulders. Praise works wonders!
I love my job.
It taught me to be patient.
Many a times I wanted to just give up, but their innocent faces when they apologized melted my heart again. Kids are really...kids. At the age of 13, they wanted so much attention, telling you stories of motorbikes with hidden camera or how they sped off when the police is after them.
I love my job.
Seeing them 'ohhh' and nod as if they discover something important just makes me smile. It is still pretty annoying when they talk while I was teaching. English, to some of them, might be insignificant. I tried to learn Iban language, most of the words are like Bahasa Malaysia, but when they string the words into sentences, I'm in another planet.
I love my job.
The salary is not high, nor too low to allow me a comfortable life.
What is there to complain when there's roof over my head, clothes to keep me warm, warm food on the table and a bed to sleep in.
God is gracious.
Telling my colleagues I love my job motivates her not to quit.
I didn't know that by sharing my passion for teaching,
She will be encouraged as well.
p.s Hope this passion never dies.

Bye 017
On this day of your life, Silverin, we believe God wants you to know ... that you can't rid the world of sorrow, but you can choose to live in joy.

Sorrow
is with us not because we are bad at stopping it, but simply because
it's part of being human. What matters is not whether good or bad things
happen - both will, but your relationship to them. Just think back over
the last 24 hours, - what had you taken hard that you could have taken
lightly?
Last night pastor preached about not believing in horoscope. How about the above application? Isn't it something similar, just coated with a different name?
Anyway, dear friends, especially my course mates (if you still follow my blog, because we started blogging during Dr. Edwin's literature class, fun! miss him!), today my maxis number is officially terminated. So, contact my Digi number, or via Facebook Message, since that's free.
How many of you still use SMS or call? With whatsapps, Facebook, and Twitter, it downs to that my friendships are getting less deep, though wider in numbers. When is the last time you received a hand written letter? Do you still keep it?
Mine was during my first year in college. Pam and I poured out of feelings and the feelings traveled through the sky and reached our mail boxes. I don't know about guys, but I think most girls would be secretly happy when there's something for us at the mail box, be it a box of chocolate, or a card. It sent a strong message: that someone out there is thinking of you, and willing to take the trouble to prepare, pack and post =)

8:30-9:30pm Earth Hour
Guys, how's your experience in the dark? Did you really switch off the lights and electrical appliances for the past hour, 8:30pm-9:30pm?
Well, Sam and I did switch off our lights etc (exclude the fridge) at 7:15pm before we went to church. But when we returned home at 9pm, our dining hall's lights are on. Perhaps our dear housemate is not aware of Earth Hour.
Anyway, as stubborn and determined as me, I chose to fulfill and support this movement. With the dim light from the street lamps that cast through my windows, I opened my wardrobe and used my finger tips to randomly choose a pair of pyjamas. Quite an experience~ =D
How to kill the remaining 30minutes? Pray? But I've said my prayers at church earlier. Suddenly I recalled this simple set induction activity that I learnt during briefing at International Tuition School last holiday - "Drawing in the Dark".
Wee~! I drew ... *secret*
then, I wrote a letter in the dark too. haha, I thought my handwriting would be beyond recognition, but then, when I switch on the lights at9:32pm, wee, not bad lo! =D
Checked my phone, Sam said she cooked Mamee Duck noodles for supper. Wah, she's really a good cook. In less than 15 minutes, supper's ready, fried egg, cangkuk manis, hotdog and the noodle =D
That's how I experience my 2012 Earth Hour, how bout you? =)
p/s will be starting my first ministry at church tomorrow: Sunday School teacher. Hm...I knew very little about the bible, despite going to church with Yvonne for 6 years, I think I'm an old baby. Hm.. Oh ya, due to EXTREME boredom and financial savings for vacations, I will be starting my home tuition starting tomorrow too. 3 Form 4 kids. Hope things will go well =)
Happy Palm Sunday to all (^_^)

He Knows Best
The man: "God, can I ask you a question?"
God: "Yes, what is it?"
Man: "Why is my day so tough?"
God: "Tell me what happen, son."
Man: "The alarm didn't ring. I had a hard time waking up and was late for work."
God: "And?"
Man: "I couldn't start my car engine for a long time."
God: "Continue, I'm listening."
Man: "The waiter took the wrong order for my sandwich and I had to queue up all over again."
God: "And?"
Man: "When I home after a tiring day, the massage chair didn't work. Why isn't there a smooth thing in my life?"
God: "Well son, this morning, the death angel was at your bedside. I sent angels to protect you and they took some time to fight for you. I think you would appreciate a peaceful sleep longer."
Man: "Oh."
God: "There was a drunkard man on the road. I do not want you to be the accident victim so I make spend some time starting your car engine."
Man: *head down, embarrass*
God: "The boy who was to prepare your sandwich had a flu today. I know you can't afford to fall sick today so I prevented the virus from spreading to that sandwich of yours."
Man: "Geez"
God: "And the massage chair. Well, there was some problem with the electric at home. If the massage chair can be operated, your house might face electric shortage. I think you would not like to be in the dark and fan-less sleep tonight.
Man: "Thank you, Father, for You know the best and always give me the best."
